Practice

Practice Texas Hold'em Poker. This is one of the most important stages in learning poker and winning. You may already know the basics of the game but you do not know the game. Luckily all poker sites have play-money games where you can train, practice, put the theory you learn here into action and play for free. Practice poker and improveBefore you play for money you should have a good understanding of the game and be a better player than the majority of the players on the table you are playing at. Basically put you have to play better poker than the other players. So first of all you need practice so that a lot of your decisions become second nature. Would you enter a bicycle race before you've learnt to ride without the stabilizers? NO. Secondly once you feel you are ready to play for real you need to look for tables where the players are worse than you. This is one of the other advantages in signing up to many poker sites as you have more choice to find your fishing spot (more about this in latter lessons). Players who play poorly or don’t know how to play are called fish. Good players are known as sharks and although you may not be a shark when you start to play for money you do need to make sure that you are one of the biggest fish at the table. Your next step now is to play for play-money. This is great for learning but as we will see you need to understand players do play differently when there is no risk of loosing real money. So let’s move on and get stuck in and remember practice, practice and practice. A site and software we recommend
for beginners is Party Poker and you can download the free software from
the following link: Once you have installed thesoftware and registered you can play for free against other poker player from around the world.
